With similar interests in DJing, music and art between the founding members the formation of XBC was inevitable. The show is hosted by 2 guys namely Chyll and MJ. XBC Jumpoff took off in 2007 as an initiative to give listeners an enjoyable show filled with lots of music and information to serve as a bridge between artists and fans alike bringing us all closer together. With plenty of innovative ideas XBC has grown as time has unfolded and ultimately become one of the most entertaining African shows bringing you some of the most amazing talent the Motherland has to offer. Podcasting is more about YOU, the listener where you can hear your favourite music at you convenience. We also provide marketing services for artists and producers alike among other projects. At the moment the team is expanding to include music production services open to everyone. The journey has been long and hard but we are getting there.

I am glad to find this blog. I always thought that there should be a Zimbabwean music blog which acts as a platform to preserve the evidence of Zimbabwean talent. Guys, you can easily recognise that comic music of most of the small and old Zimbabwean talented singers like Marko Sibanda, Matavire, mbira from the likes of Stella Chiweshe has suddenly disappeared - neither can it be found on tapes, vinyl or CDs - its talent that it not going to be preserved for future generations. Can you from time to time make such collections and posts? It would help and your site will be a playground fort the young and the old. One more request, mix with Ndebele artists and provide some translation in English - there are some songs we yearn to understand their lyrics in English coz one does not understand the other language.
In addititon to the above comment, I personally dont think that muri Boyz dzeMusikanzwa - mutori Boys dziri bhoo bhoo manje. What about trying to posts tracks as individual songs rather than one long one? (Any problems in that? It will help thiose with poor internet connectivity to enjoy listening or downloading - after all Zimbabwe has generally poor internet connectivity.
Thank you so much for the comment! I wish you had left your name and e-mail so we could contact you and talk about all this at length as we find it very very useful when we get such detailed feedback. It helps us improve the show for YOU, the listener.
We have documented your points and we will definitely do our best to fulfill the requests you made especially concerning the artists of the golden generation who have music that defines the roots of Zimbabwean music. We want to reach out to everyone through the music. One thing we also want to do is actually get even more Ndebele music to play. We try to do so whenever we can and hopefully this will improve on our part(English translation included).
Hopefully we will be able to post individual tracks when we have our own site and its due soon. Thanks again! Appreciate the feedback
Regards
